OOAK Lamma
Tucked away on a remote side of Lamma Island, Hong Kong, is private residence-venue OOAK. The wooden planks that line the interior and exterior of the space were repurposed from an old ship. The ingredients and much of the ceramics are locally sourced. There is a family member involved in almost every step of the process — architecture, food, operations, furniture, and then some.
I wanted to merge the clean lines of the architecture, the intimacy of the location, and the warmth of the collective details. A calm sub-tropical getaway with hints of urban energy. A labour of love.
